She’s the undisputed queen of the holiday season thanks to her beloved festive hit All I Want For Christmas Is You.
And this year, Mariah Carey is feeling extra festive as she puts a holiday spin on her Mariah’s Cookies line – announcing a new Holiday Hits Cookie Trio on Wednesday that is available through her virtual bakery.
The collection of sweet treats consists of Gingerbread, Cinnamon Sugar and Chocolate Raspberry Truffle cookies that will be packaged in a box specially designed for the holiday season.
Carey issued a statement where she humorously noted that she undertook the project in an effort to placate Santa Claus after last year’s Christmas required stricter food control.
‘We forgot to leave cookies out for Santa last year and were terrified we’d wind up on the naughty list,’ she noted.
The 52-year-old singer then pointed out that she and her collaborators had contacted the big man in red to make sure that his concerns about his sweet tooth were addressed.
‘So we FaceTimed him over the summer to ensure we got his top 3 flavors. In case you were wondering, here they are,’ she stated.
In addition to the seasonal flavors, Mariah’s Cookies offers more well-known options such as Triple Chocolate Chunk and Lemon Cooler, among others.
The products will be made available to the public through its official website and delivery applications such as DoorDash and UberEats.
Mariah’s Cookies also has its own application, which made its debut earlier this year.
The company was founded just in time for last year’s holiday season, and the singer was seen prepping her cookies in a video that was shared prior to Valentine’s Day.
Carey is currently preparing for the release of her new Christmas-themed special, entitled Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues.
The performer previously starred in Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special, which made its debut last year and was met with a positive critical reception.
The new short film will see the singer making the most of the holiday season, and she will debut her new track Fall In Love At Christmas, which features Khalid and Kirk Franklin.
The hitmaker recently spoke to People and told the media outlet about the inspiration behind her new track.
‘It’s really trying to say that we’re in a really screwed up place in the world. We all need grace upon grace upon grace,’ she stated.
In addition to pointing out that she inherited her love of the holiday season from her ‘festive’ mother, Carey expressed that she enjoyed Christmastime more than any other period.
‘It’s just honestly, it’s a magical time for me. It really is my most favorite time of year,’ she stated.
Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues is set to be released on the Apple TV+ streaming service on Friday.
